Neil's First Day in School

Today, 16-June-2014 is the first day of the Neil's school.

Had a very exciting feeling for this very day. We all tried to build up to this day as one of the great occasion for Neil. In all fairness, we can say we made him excited about his school. 

He was all pumped to go to school. On Sunday, he was packing his new schoolbag, new lunch box, new water bottle. Wearing his new sandals, having his school bag on his shoulder and water bottle around his neck, he was running all around in home screaming, My bus has come, my bus has come.

So he got up early on Monday around 7 but was lazying around in the bed. We did not wanted to anger him in any which ways. He took his time to come out. 

Finally he agreed for his morning routine and I bathed him and dressed him for the school. So all in all, he was really set for his school's first day. 

He stood in front of God, seeking his blessings. He is not aware of power of prayers but I am sure he will realize as he grows up. Mom also pointed out the day today which is very pious day, Sankashti Chaturthi. So it is indeed a great day to start.

I was extremely happy today, to be able to drop Neil at his bus stop. Rutuja, Kavita and me dropped him at his bus stop for his school bus. He waived good bye to us from his school bus. Looking very happy.

Neil, this is what your routine will be next 20 odd years at least. So dude, enjoy it. This stage of the life is very exciting and make sure you have nice memories of this day.
